Our mission is simple: “To help people be the best version of themselves.” Thus our motto - Be The Best You! We help our clients achieve this goal by creating an environment where only excellence is accepted and celebrated.

If you’re asking about our name, the razor is the oldest tool in human history used for grooming. It has been used for hundreds of years and we still use it to this day to finish every haircut. It symbolizes both the beginning and the end of grooming.

The roar symbolizes the feeling you get after a great haircut. You feel like you can take over the world. We imagine is the same feeling the king of the jungle feels when he roars.

Put those together and you get a masterpiece of a haircut styled to perfection.

ABOUT US

MEET OUR

LION PRIDE

EDWIN VEGUILLA

OWNER

Owner and Founder of Razor Roar, Edwin was born in Puerto Rico to a humble household.

At the age of 11, he survived cancer and an almost fatal liver transplant, which led him to Indiana.

On his spare time, Edwin likes to pursue the wellness lifestyle by working out and practicing martial arts like Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Don’t get him started talking about James Bond, cars or old motorcycles or you will never leave the shop.

DAVID MOORE

BARBER

DMO knows a little bit about everything and can talk to you about anything you want to talk about.

He is a sports enthusiast who also played sports, making him the ideal teammate with excellent  work ethic.

His humor and charisma makes him a joy to be around. When he is not at work, he enjoys family time and playing video games.

MICHAEL WETTER

BARBER

Michael started cutting hair at the start of the pandemic in early 2020.

He instantly fell in love with the craft and dropped out of college to pursue being a barber. Don't let this short career fool you, he’s a naturally talented barber who graduated top of his class.

His favorite cut to do is a bald fade with a textured top.

Outside of the shop, Michael is an avid rock climber and adventurer.

KALA BORDERS

BARBER

A music nerd and proud parent of two black cats.

Her favorite thing about cutting hair is having a creative outlet and connecting with people from all walks of life.

Away from the shop, you can find her at a concert, brewery, coffee shop or exploring her favorite city - Detroit.

She’s always down to crack some jokes and crack open some beers.

CALEB NUNEZ

DESIGNER

The mastermind behind our logo, website, pictures, videos and anything else digital.

He is a jack of all trades who enjoys being a creative in different ways.

When he’s not debating how DC is way better than Marvel, you can find him talking about all sorts of nerd stuff.

He can't cut hair, but he loves to be in the barbershop environment talking and learning from the clients.

Edwin grew up in Puerto Rico and at the age of 11, survived an almost fatal liver transplant and cancer which would forever change his life.

After watching his self-taught-barber-dad cut hair for many years, Edwin decided to try it out on a friend. He was instantly hooked and fell in love with that feeling of helping someone feel better about themselves. This realization set Edwin on his path of studying and mastering his craft.

Razor Roar was founded to disrupt the status quo of fast and cheap haircuts, unprofessional environments, long wait times, and use of harmful products. In other words, to bring the best service and experience to the men’s grooming market.
